The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
SYMPTOMS
When you try to create a CD or a DVD in Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, and during this process you press BACK on the remote after you select either Audio CD or Video DVD, you receive the following message:
If you continue, any lists you have created will be lost. Do you want to stop creating a CD or DVD?
If you select Yes, you are not returned to the previous screen as expected. Instead, you are returned to either the More Programs screen or to the Start screen, and your media list is not saved.
Note For more information about the process of creating a media list, see the "More information" section.CAUSE
This behavior is designed to help prevent accidental corruption of your blank media. In the scenario that is described in the "Symptoms" section, you are returned to the More Programs screen or to the Start screen so that you can verify the format of the media that you are using.
