SYMPTOMS

If Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 is running in window mode instead of in full-screen mode, you may be able to drag the window behind the taskbar. After you move the window, you may not be able to drag it to another location.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, change the Windows Taskbar configuration to auto-hide. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Right-click an empty area of the taskbar, and then click Properties.
  2. Click to select the Auto-hide the taskbar check box, and then click OK.
  3. Move the pointer away from the taskbar so that the taskbar is hidden.

Note To redisplay the taskbar, point to the area of your screen where the taskbar is located.
  4. Click the Media Center title bar, and then drag the Media Center window to another location on the screen.
  5. Move the pointer back to the taskbar area to redisplay the taskbar.
  6. Right-click an empty area of the taskbar, and then click Properties.
  7. Click to clear the Auto-hide the taskbar check box, and then click OK.
