The Last Copied time field is incorrectly displayed in the Package Status details pane in the Systems Management Server 2003 Administrator console on the parent site (886080)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Systems Management Server 2003

SYMPTOMS

You open the Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 Administrator console on the parent site to examine the information that is in the Package Status details pane. The Last Copied time field is displayed as the first time that the package is distributed to the distribution point on the child site. This information is displayed even though you changed the package and you updated the changes to the package on the distribution point group of the child site.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the Package Status details pane reports the wrong date/time flag.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, update the changes to the package on the distribution point group of a parent site or of a central site instead of a child site.

Note The child site can be a secondary site or a primary site. To determine whether the child site is a secondary site or a primary site, examine the information that is in the Last Copied time field in the Package Status details pane after you distribute the package.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
