You receive unexpected status messages in the All Status Messages query even if there are no changes to the SMS site properties (886009)

SYMPTOMSIf you examine the All Status Messages
query under State Message Queries in the System
Status node in the Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) Administrator console, you see information that is similar to the following information: Description: User "user name" modified class security rights for
user "another user name" on object "object name"This information exists
even if you have not changed anything in the site properties of the
<Site_code>-<Site_name> node.CAUSEThis problem occurs because the property page of the
<Site_code>-<Site_name> node does not generate any
status message to verify whether any items on the property page have been
changed.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, click
Cancel instead of OK when you do not want to
change any items on the property pages of the
<Site_code>-<Site_name> node.STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are
listed in the "Applies to" section.
