The screen saver starts when you watch full-screen video in Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 (885992)

SYMPTOMS
When you watch video in Full-Screen mode in Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, your screen saver may start.CAUSE
This behavior will occur if one of the following conditions is true:
- The On resume, password protect check box is selected on the Screen Saver tab of the Display Properties dialog box.
- The Prompt for password when computer resumes from standby check box is selected on the Advanced tab of the Power Options Properties dialog box.
- The On resume, display Welcome screen check box is selected on the Screen Saver tab of the Display Properties dialog box.
Note This option only appears when more then one user account exists, and Fast User Switching is turned on in Windows Media Center Edition 2005.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, click to clear the On resume, password protect check box, the On resume, display Welcome screen check box, and the Prompt for password when computer resumes from standby check box.
To do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, click Run, type powercfg.cpl, and then click OK.
- In the Power Options Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab, and then click to clear the Prompt for password when computer resumes from standby check box.
- Click OK.
- Click Start, click Run, type desk.cpl, and then click OK.
- Click the Screen Saver tab, and then click to clear the On resume, password protect check box. If Fast User Switching is turned on, click to clear the On resume, display Welcome screen check box.
- Click OK.
