FIX: The BizTalk Server HTTP Adapter pre-appends the byte order mark (BOM) to request messages in BizTalk Server 2004 (885897)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 Standard Edition
  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 Enterprise Edition
  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 Partner Edition
  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 Developer Edition

SYMPTOMS

When an HTTP request message is encoded with a Unicode character set (UTF8 or UTF16), the Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 HTTP adapter will pre-append the byte order mark (BOM) to the message before it sends the message out to the partner. The partner may not be able to recognize and process the BOM.
