SYMPTOMSYou may experience the following symptoms in Microsoft Office Word 2003. When you change the location of the data source for the main document of a mail merge, you are prompted to locate the data source every time that you open the main document. You are repeatedly asked to locate the data source, even though you locate the data source file when you are prompted. You may receive an error message that is similar to the following when you open the main document: Data Link Dialog as the merge data source cannot be found. RESOLUTIONThis problem was first fixed in a hotfix that is now contained in a service pack. If you installed the latest Office 2003 service pack, you do not have to install the hotfix.
