SYMPTOMSWhen you use Microsoft Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) to query and to collect information about computers in your environment, some results that are returned from the Win32_OperatingSystem WMI class are incorrect. This problem affects some page file results and some virtual memory-related results. Specifically, the results for the following properties are incorrect: - SizeStoredInPagingFiles: Instead of the correct value, the property reports the commit limit.
- FreeSpaceInPagingFiles: Reports the commit limit minus the committed bytes. This result is the value that the FreeVirtualMemory property should be reporting.
- FreeVirtualMemory: Reports the sum of the available physical memory and the incorrect FreeSpaceInPagingFiles property value.
- TotalVirtualMemorySize: Reports the sum of the physical memory and the incorrect SizeStoredInPagingFiles property value. Therefore, physical memory is counted two times.
