Configuring Microsoft CRM Integration for Great Plains 1.2 to work with Great Plains 8.0 requires a series of steps and downloading, extracting, and running the setup program.

Microsoft has scanned these files for viruses. Microsoft used the most current virus detection software that was available on the date that these files were posted. These files are stored on secure servers that prevent any unauthorized changes to these files.
Installation information
Installation information is specified in the procedures later in this article.
You need to install this update on every Microsoft CRM integration server. After you install this update, you must restart the
SQLAgent$MSCRMINTEGRATION service in the
Services window. When you restart the service, you temporarily interrupt the Microsoft CRM activities. Therefore, install this update after regular business hours, or schedule five minutes for all Microsoft CRM users to be logged out of Microsoft CRM while you install this integration update. Users must also be logged out of Great Plains during the update installation. Otherwise the Great Plains clients will not function correctly.
Removal information
You cannot remove this update.
Restart requirement
You must restart your computer after you install this update.

Installation Procedures
Perform the following procedure if you have not installed Microsoft CRM Integration for Great Plains 1.2 on your computer:
- To download the setup package, specify a folder on your hard disk to hold the update files and finish the download.
- Insert the Microsoft CRM Integration for Great Plains 1.2 CD into your disk drive.
Note If you do not have the Microsoft CRM Integration for Great Plains 1.2 CD, browse to the location on the network where the setup files for Microsoft CRM Integration for Great Plains 1.2 are stored, and go directly to step 4.
- When the Welcome screen opens, click Cancel. Do not remove the CD.
- Browse to the folder you specified in step 1 and locate the setup file.
- To start the installation wizard, double-click setup.exe.
- The Welcome to the Microsoft CRM Integration for Great Plains Setup page is displayed. Click Next.
- On the License Agreement page, click I accept the terms of the agreement, and then click I Accept.
- On the Select Great Plains Server page, select the server that hosts the Great Plains database. If your server is not displayed in the dropdown list, type the server name. Click Next.
- On the Specify Microsoft CRM Integration for Great Plains 1.2 Setup Location page, either insert the CD, or click Browse to select the network location where the Setup program is located.
- Select setup.exe, and click Open.
- On the Specify Microsoft CRM Integration for Great Plains 1.2 Setup Location page, click Next.
- On the Select Temporary Storage Location page, click Browse to select the location to store the installation files, and then click Next.
- The installation for Microsoft CRM Integration for Great Plains 1.2 starts, followed by the installation for this update. It might take several minutes.
When Setup completes the installation, click Finish.
Perform the following procedure if you have installed Microsoft CRM Integration for Great Plains 1.2 on your computer:
- Stop the SQLAgent$CRMINTEGRATION service in the Services window.
- Download the update package and then locate the setup file.
- To start the installation wizard, double-click Setup.exe.
- The Welcome to the Microsoft CRM Integration for Great Plains Setup Wizard page is displayed. Click Next.
- On the License Agreement page, click I accept the terms of the agreement, and then click I Accept.
- The Ready to Upgrade page is displayed with a warning.
If you have not customized the DXPublish_Sales_Document_Retrieve package, proceed to the next step.
If you have customized this package, refer to the "Microsoft® Business Solutions CRM Integration for Great Plains Guide" for information about how to back up and restore the document exchange packages. The guide is available on the Microsoft CRM Integration for Great Plains 1.2 CD.
- On the Ready to Upgrade page, click Install. Setup installs Microsoft CRM 1.2 Integration for Great Plains 8.0. This might take several minutes.
- When Setup completes the update installation, click Finish.
