You cannot save a Transaction Integrator (TI) project that includes a Structure or user-defined type and a DataTable or Recordset that have the same name in Host Integration Server 2004 (885649)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Host Integration Server 2004
SYMPTOMSIn a Microsoft Host Integration Server 2004 Transaction Integrator (TI) project, the TI Designer lets a Structure or user-defined type and a DataTable or Recordset in a single TI library have the same name. When you try to save the TI library, you receive an error message that is similar to the following: Another object is defined with the name Name RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, you must change one of the names. Although you can create a DataTable and a Structure that each have the same name in the TI Designer, you cannot save this project until you change one of the names.
Note User-defined types and Recordsets are used in TI Microsoft Component Object Model (COM) libraries. Structures and DataTables are used in TI Microsoft .NET Framework libraries.STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
