You cannot record a Chat session in Live Meeting (885579)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Chat feature in Microsoft Office Live Meeting, you cannot record a conversation in the Chat session.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because Live Meeting does not support the record function in a Chat session.

WORKAROUND

To save a Chat session in Live Meeting, follow these steps:
  1. Right-click in the Chat window, and then click Select All.
  2. Right-click the selected text in the Chat window, and then click Copy.
  3. Open a new window such as a Text Slide in your meeting, or open a new document in a different program such as Notepad, and then copy the text to the new slide or document.
