StarOffice slides may not be displayed as expected when you upload them to Live Meeting (885501)

SYMPTOMS

When you create a slide presentation in StarOffice and then upload the StarOffice slides to Microsoft Office Live Meeting, you may experience any one of the following symptoms:

The fonts in the StarOffice slides may be different from the original fonts.
The text in the StarOffice slides may be reformatted.
The background of the StarOffice slides may be missing or may be displayed incorrectly.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if you use StarOffice to convert the slides from the StarOffice file format to the Microsoft Office PowerPoint file format.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use the StarOffice filter in StarOffice 6.0 Product Patch 2, or later versions of StarOffice and convert the StarOffice slide set to PlaceWare presentation (PWP) format for use in Live Meeting. After the slide set is converted to PWP format, it can be uploaded successfully to Live Meeting.
