The Web quick key "http://" inserts as "hp://" when you use the Tablet PC Input Panel in Windows Tablet PC Edition 2005 (885499)

SYMPTOMSWhen you try to use the Tablet PC Input

Web quick key to
insert "http://" in a Microsoft Internet Explorer
address field, the text "hp://" is inserted instead.CAUSEThis problem occurs when the Microsoft IntelliType Pro 5.0
or Microsoft IntelliType Pro 5.1 software is installed on your Tablet PC.WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, you can either remove the
IntelliType Pro software or remove the Type32.exe program from the Startup
folder. If you remove the Type32.exe program, you will disable the Microsoft
Office Keyboard Hot Keys. How to remove the IntelliType Pro software- Click Start, click Run,
type appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.
- Click Microsoft IntelliPoint Pro 5.0 or
click Microsoft IntelliType Pro 5.1, and then click
Change/Remove.
- Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to remove
the software.
How to remove the Type32.exe program from the Startup folder- Right-click Start, and then click
Open.
- Double-click Programs, and then
double-click Startup.
- In the Startup folder, drag
Type32.exe to the Desktop.
- Restart your computer.
