Help and Support Center links may not be updated after you install the Multilingual User Interface Pack in Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 (885493)

SYMPTOMS

When you install the Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 Multilingual User Interface Pack (MUI), the links in the Help and Support Center under Welcome to Tablet PC may not be displayed in the currently configured language.

CAUSE

This problem is caused because the Help and Support Center Update service does not update the Help content with the newly installed language.

RESOLUTION

The Help and Support Center Update service will run one time every 24 hours and automatically import and correct the language for the Help links.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

MORE INFORMATION

If the links have not updated after a 24-hour period, you may have to remove and reinstall the Windows XP MUI and the Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 MUI.
