Approval Status setting information appears to be lost after you apply a layout customization view in FrontPage 2003 (885378)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003
  • Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003, after you convert a SharePoint List View to an XSLT Data View, the Approval Status setting information appears to be lost.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the Approval Status value in the Data Source Protocol Query (DSPQ) always shows 0 (zero). A filter is set on all new list view pages so that only the approved items are returned in a list. This filter is set by Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services to prevent unauthorized users from viewing the pending and rejected items.

MORE INFORMATION

The Approval Status of a row in a list must be marked as "Approved." If the Approval Status is marked as "Pending" or "Rejected," the row is not returned.

Following are the different values of the Approval Status settings that are set by Windows SharePoint Services.
Approval Status settingValue
Approved0
Rejected1
Pending2
