Invitees receive an error message when they try to attend a meeting in Live Meeting version 4.4 (885317)

SYMPTOMS

When an invitee tries to attend your Microsoft Office Live Meeting version 4.4 meeting, the invitee receives an error message that is similar to the following:
Missing parameter 'req'

CAUSE

This problem may occur if the meeting is configured to use both an access control list (ACL) and an extended registration.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, turn off the extended registration requirement. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Log on to your account as the meeting organizer.
  2. Under Manage, click Meetings.
  3. Click edit for the Meeting ID that you want to modify.
  4. To the right of Advanced Meeting Options, click edit.
  5. Under Extended Registration, click Don't ask for email and company name, and then click submit.
