SYMPTOMS

When you try to synchronize video content in Microsoft Windows Media Player 10 to a Pocket PC 2003 device, the video content is not copied to the device. You receive the following error message:
Windows Media Player cannot convert the file to the format required by the device.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because Windows Media Player 10 does not support synchronizing video content to a Pocket PC 2003 device.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Start Microsoft Windows Explorer.
  2. Drag the video content onto the device icon.

    The video content is copied to your device.
