SYMPTOMSWhen you try to run a program, open a window, or open a dialog box in Microsoft Windows XP, you may receive the following error messages: This module was compiled with a trial version of Delphi. The trial version has expired. Iexplore is not a valid date. CAUSEThis issue may occur when a program that is installed on your computer was written by using the trial version of the Delphi programming tools. This issue is known to occur in any one of the following programs: - CPR
- Grokster file sharing application
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, restart your Windows XP-based computer in Safe Mode. Then use one or more of the following methods.

Method 1: Clear the Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart) check box- Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- Click Network and Internet Connections.
- Click Internet Options.
- On the Advanced tab, click to clear the Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart) check box.
- Click OK to close the Internet Properties dialog box.
- Restart your computer.
Method 2: Remove a program by using Add or Remove Programs- Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- Click Add or Remove Programs.
- In the Currently installed programs list, click the program that you want to remove, and then click Remove. For example, you may want to remove a program that is listed in the "Cause" section.
- Restart your computer.
Method 3: Rename Cpr.dll- Click Start, and then click Search.
- Click All files and folders.
- In the All or part of the file name text box, type cpr.dll.
- In the Look in box, click your hard disk drive. For example, click Local Disk (C:).
- Click Search.
- Right-click the file that was found, and then click Rename.
- Type cpr.old, and then press ENTER.
- Restart your computer.
