The Live Meeting Console may crash when you open a frame-based Web site in Live Meeting (884963)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Office Live Meeting
- Microsoft Office Live Meeting Conference Center 2000
SYMPTOMSWhen you open a frame-based Web site in the Live Meeting Console, the Live Meeting Console may crash.CAUSEThis problem occurs because some frame-based Web sites are not compatible with the Live Meeting Console interface. The Live Meeting Console is constructed from a series of frames positioned in specified locations. Some frame-based Web sites use absolute positioning for the different frame elements. If these frame elements are positioned in the same location as elements in the Live Meeting Console, these frame elements will cause the Live Meeting Console to crash. There is also the chance that the frame-based Web site will not pass verification and the Live Meeting Console will not open the Web site.WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, open the frame-based Web site a
separate browser window, and then share the Web site. To do this, follow these steps:
- Create a new Web browser window, and then open the frame-based
Web site.
- On the
Insert menu, click Sharing Slide.
- Click the Web browser entry in the list of programs to
share, and then click OK.
- Click Start.
