RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, try using a later version of
PowerPoint to create or to modify presentations. You can use a later version of
PowerPoint to update the presentation that is experiencing the problem to the
latest version of the PowerPoint presentation format. To do this, follow these
steps:
- Start PowerPoint.
- Open the presentation that is experiencing the
problem.
- On the File menu, click Save
as.
- Set the Save as type to
Presentation (*.ppt), type a new name for the presentation,
and then click Save.
After you have completed these steps, try to import the modified
presentation into your Live Meeting Web conference.
If you do not have
access to a later version of PowerPoint, or if the later version of PowerPoint
does not resolve this problem, you can try to manually convert the PowerPoint
presentation into a Live Meeting .pwp file. To do this, you must have the
Microsoft Office Live Meeting Add-in for Microsoft PowerPoint
installed.

By using the Live Meeting Add-in to convert the
presentation, you may find the slide that is causing the presentation to
experience the problem. If you identify the slide that is causing the problem,
you can modify the presentation in PowerPoint by using one of the following
methods.
Method 1
Ungroup the image
Some graphics in PowerPoint are made of vector line drawings. When
these drawings are grouped together, they may cause errors when you try to
upload the presentation. To ungroup an image in PowerPoint into a Microsoft
Office Drawing object, follow these steps:
- Right-click the graphic, and then click
Ungroup.
Note If the Ungroup command is not available, the
graphic cannot be ungrouped. - Click OK to confirm that you want to
convert the graphic into an Office Drawing object.
- If you have to, repeat step 1 to ungroup the graphic if
there are more groups in the graphic.
Note Some images may contain multiple subgroups that you also have to
ungroup.
Method 2
Paste the graphic as a bitmap
Sometimes, when you ungroup a graphic, thin lines in the graphic
may become thicker as the graphic is converted into an Office Drawing object.
This may also occur if new lines are added to the graphic. In this situation,
instead of ungrouping the graphic, use
the
Cut command to delete the
graphic from the slide. Then, by using the
Paste Special
command on the
Edit menu, paste the graphic as a bitmap file
or as a .png file back onto the slide.
Method 3
Upload the slides by using the
Alternate Uploader add-in
If you receive an error message after the upload progress bar has
passed the halfway mark, you can try using the Alternate Uploader add-in to
upload your presentation.
To use the Alternate Uploader add-in, follow these
steps:
- Export your PowerPoint presentation to the .pwp file
format. To do this, follow the steps in the following Knowledge Base
