You cannot implement the IsPortAllowed() API and the IsIcmpTypeAllowed() API in JScript in the Microsoft Platform Software Development Kit (884911)

SYMPTOMS

After you install the Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 Platform Software Development Kit (SDK), you cannot implement the IsPortAllowed() API and the IsIcmpTypeAllowed() API in Microsoft JScript.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of the Interface Definition Language file that is included with the Windows XP Service Pack 2 Platform SDK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Windows XP Service Pack 2 Platform SDK.
