FIX: You receive an "Error occurred when converting character parameter" error messages after a COMTI method call runs successfully in Host Integration Server 2000 (884572)

SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Host Integration Server 2000, after a Microsoft Component Object Model (COM) Transaction Integrator (COMTI) method call runs successfully, the following error message may be logged in the Application event log:
COMTI Event 102
Description:
(1512) An error occurred when converting character parameter ParameterName in method MethodName. Verify that a code page capable of mapping the character set conversions has been specified for the COM Transaction Integrator Remote Environment.
This error message will continue to be generated until the Microsoft COM+ application package is shut down. RESOLUTIONService pack information
