You may receive a "failure executing the receive pipeline" event log error message when you deploy a schema assembly in BizTalk Server 2004 (884535)

SYMPTOMS

When you deploy a schema assembly in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, you may receive an event log error message that is similar to the following:Event Log:

There was a failure executing the receive pipeline: "Microsoft.BizTalk.DefaultPipelines.XMLReceive"

Source: "XML disassembler"

Receive Location: "Drive:\Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004\SDK\Samples\Messaging\CBRSample\In\*.xml"

CAUSE

This problem may occur when you have deployed more than one version of the same schema assembly on a computer that is running BizTalk Server 2004. This problem occurs because BizTalk Server messaging does not use the correct version of a deployed schema.

Note By design, BizTalk Server 2004 messaging uses the latest version of the deployed schema assembly.

RESOLUTION

Service pack information
