FIX: The Fast Forward button, the Rewind button, and the Volume slider do not behave as expected in Windows Media Player in Windows CE 5.0 (884063)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Windows CE 5.0, you may experience the following symptoms in Microsoft Windows Media Player:
  • After you playing a video file, the Fast Forward and Rewind buttons are enabled. However, fast-forward and rewind are not supported on audio files.
  • You drag the Volume slider and then you move the mouse pointer away from the Windows Media Player window with the mouse button pressed down. When you stop pressing the mouse button and then move the mouse pointer to the Windows Media Player window, the Volume slider is stuck in dragging mode.

Restart requirement

After you install this software update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To clean the platform, click Clean on the Build menu. To build the platform, click Build Platform on the Build menu. You do not have to restart your computer after you apply this software update.
