INTRODUCTION
This article describes the Microsoft Office XP issue that is fixed in the Office XP post-Service Pack 3 hotfix package that is dated September 28, 2004.

This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
- When you log on to a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer for the first time after you install the Office XP Alternative User Input Update: March 9, 2004, the Input Method Editor (IME) 2002 is not listed in the Installed services list of the Text services and input languages dialog box.
To view the Installed services list, follow these steps:- Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- Click Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options.
- Click Regional and Language Options.
- On the Languages tab, click Details.
