You receive an "Error on page" error message when you log on to Live Meeting (883862)

SYMPTOMS

When you log on to Microsoft Office Live Meeting, you may receive the following error message:
Error on Page

CAUSE

This issue occurs if the JavaScript is not working as expected in Live Meeting. The errors in the JavaScript occur when one of the following conditions is true:
  • The cache files are corrupted.
  • The browser is having a problem running JavaScript.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use the following methods.

Method 1

Delete the temporary Internet files in Microsoft Internet Explorer. To do this, follow these steps.
  1. Start Internet Explorer.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  3. In the Internet Options dialog box, click the General tab.
  4. Click Delete Files in the Temporary Internet Files.
  5. In the Delete Files dialog box, click OK to confirm that you want to clear the cache files.
  6. Click OK.

Method 2

Change your browser settings to the default configuration. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Start Internet Explorer.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  3. In the Internet zone dialog box, click the Security tab.
  4. Repeat step 3 for the Local Intranet zone, the Trusted sites zone, and the Restricted sites zone.
  5. Click the Web zone, and then click Default Level.
  6. On the Advanced tab, click Restore Defaults.
  7. Click OK.
