How to verify that you are connected to the audio conference call when you record your presentation in Live Meeting (883746)

When you use the telephonic and audio controls that are available in the Recording Control Panel in Microsoft Office Live Meeting, you can verify that you are connected to the audio conference call.

You may use the First 30 Seconds option and the Last 10 Seconds option that are available in the Listen to Connection dialog box to help you determine whether you are connected.

The First 30 Seconds option lets you listen to the first 30 seconds of the audio conference call before you start recording your presentation. You may use this option to help you determine whether you have dialed the correct phone number to connect to the audio conference call.

To use the First 30 Seconds option, follow these steps:

1. In the Recording Control Panel window, click Listen.
2. In the Listen to Connection dialog box, click First 30 Seconds.
3. After you have determined that you are connected, click Cancel.

The Last 10 Seconds option lets you listen to the last 10 seconds of your audio conference call. When you use this option, the audio file is updated and played for 10 seconds with the most recent audio from the audio conference call. You may use this option to help you make sure that you are connected to the audio conference call between recording sessions.

To use the Last 10 Seconds option, follow these steps:

1. In the Recording Control Panel window, click Listen.
2. In the Listen to Connection dialog box, click Last 10 Seconds.
3. After you have determined that you are connected, click Cancel.
