You receive an error message when you start the Works spreadsheet module in Works Suite 2002 (883623)

SYMPTOMS

When you start the Microsoft Works spreadsheet module in Microsoft Works Suite 2002, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following:
Microsoft Works has encountered a problem and needs to close.
When you click the link to view the details, you receive an error signature that is similar to the following:
Error signature:
AppVer: 6.0.3221.2
ModName: wkwat.dll
ModVer: 6.0.3221.2
Offset: 000091ed

CAUSE

This issue may occur if Stardock Corporation WindowBlinds is installed on your computer.

WORKAROUND

Note Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps.
To work around this issue, remove WindowBlinds from your computer. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type Appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.
  2. In the Currently installed programs list, click WindowBlinds, and then click Change/Remove.
  3. Click Automatic, click Next, and then click Finish.
  4. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
