Works for Windows: Printing Labels to Citizen GSX-140/140+ (88850)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Works 2.0
- Microsoft Works 2.0a
This article was previously published under Q88850 SUMMARY
To print labels on the Citizen GSX-140 printer or the Citizen GSX-140+
printer, you must feed the labels through a slot in the bottom of the
printer.
The printer driver source should be set to Tractor and the paper size
should be 8.5-by-11 inches.
Note: If you try to feed labels through the rear feeder, the labels
will not feed properly.
To print continuous-feed labels, use the bottom-feed method with the
tractor in the pull position. (To release the tractor, push the lever
on the right side of the mechanism. You can then move the tractor to
the pull position on the top.)
MORE INFORMATION
Feeding labels through the bottom of the printer minimizes curling and
allows the labels to advance freely. However, paper tear off,
top-of-form, fine adjustment, and paper parking features are not
available when this method is used.
Note: Positioning the labels too far to the right will cause an out of
paper error.
The GSX-140 and GSX-140+ printers are manufactured by Citizen, a
vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or
otherwise, regarding these products' performance or reliability.
