A physical hard disk drive on your computer may appear as a removable drive when you run the Wireless Network Setup Wizard in Windows XP Service Pack 2 (878475)

SYMPTOMSWhen you insert a USB flash card in your computer and then view the contents of My Computer, a physical hard disk drive in your computer may appear as a removable drive. CAUSEThis issue occurs if the following conditions are true: - You installed Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2).
- You run the Wireless Network Setup Wizard in Windows XP SP2, and the wizard copies files to the physical hard disk drive to help in the setup of a wireless network.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, follow these steps: - Click Start, click Run, type X:, where X is the letter of the physical hard disk drive that appears as a removable drive. Click OK.
- Right-click the Autorun.inf file, and then click Delete.
- Restart your computer.
