"An error occurred while configuring a component" error message when you run the Configure E-mail and Internet Connection Wizard in Windows Small Business Server 2003 (875421)

SYMPTOMSWhen you run the Configure E-mail and Internet Connection Wizard in Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003, you receive the following error during the network configuration task: An error occurred while configuring a component. To continue with the wizard and configure remaining components, click OK. To end the wizard without configuring the remaining components, click Cancel. Additionally, the following errors appear in the \Program Files\Microsoft Windows Small Business Server\Support\Icwlog.txt log file: Error 0x8007258b returned from call to Enabling secure dynamic DNS updates().

Error 0x8007258b returned from call to CNetCommit::Commit(). CAUSEThis problem may occur if the Domain Name System (DNS) forward lookup zone for the Active Directory namespace is not set to Active Directory-integrated. When the DNS forward look up zone is not set to Active Directory-integrated, you cannot set Dynamic updates to Secure only.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, set the Active Directory zone type to Active Directory-integrated. To do this, follow these steps: - Click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click DNS.
- In the console tree, double-click the server, and then double-click Forward Lookup Zones.
- Right-click your domain, and then click Properties.
- On the General tab, click Change.
- Click Active Directory-integrated, and then click OK two times.
