INTRODUCTION

This article describes the Microsoft Word 2000 issue that is fixed in the Microsoft Word 2000 post-Service Pack 3 (SP3) hotfix package that is dated July 26, 2004.

Issue that is fixed by the hotfix package

The following issue is fixed in this hotfix package, but was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
  • In a Microsoft Word 2000 document, the program may quit unexpectedly if you move your insertion point from the current form field to try to advance through the form, such as when you press TAB or when you click in a different form field.

    This issue may occur because the form was created with exit macros that were set up to access data in the document.
