Note If you update the value of the NUMPAGES field on a page that does not contain a cross-reference field, the total number of pages is correct.CAUSEThis issue may occur when the cross-reference field contains both Double-Byte Character Set (DBCS) and Single-Byte Character Set (SBCS) characters.RESOLUTIONHow to obtain the hotfixThis issue is fixed in the Word 2000 post-Service Pack 3 Hotfix Package that is dated July 12, 2004.
