SYMPTOMS
When you try to install Microsoft Office 2003, Office 2003 does not install and you receive the following error message:
Error 1327. Invalid Drive: n:\
Note The
n signifies the logical drive.
When you click
OK in the error message dialog box, the Office 2003 install quits, and then you receive a second error message that indicates the following:
Microsoft Office Setup did not complete successfully. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
An error occurred during the installation, and Setup was unable to complete.
Please tell Microsoft about this problem.

RESOLUTION
Before you try to install Office 2003, check to see if the
MSOCache folder exists. If it exists, you must move it to the location that is specified by the
LocalCacheDrive registry subkey. To do this, use the Office 2003 Local Installation Source Tool (LISTool.exe).
