How to remove the Placeware Slide Uploader plug-in for Live Meeting (873245)

The Placeware Slide Uploader plug-in for Live Meeting is installed on your computer as a browser plug-in. To remove the Placeware Slide Uploader plug-in from your computer, you must identify the version of the browser you are using, and then you must follow the appropriate steps to remove the plug-in.

Step 1: Identify the version of the browser that you are using

For Microsoft Internet Explorer

On the Help menu, click About Internet Explorer. Find the version information to the right of the label Version:.

For Netscape Communicator

On the Help menu, click About Communicator. The version information is listed in bold letters and the format is similar to the following: Netscape Communicator 4.75.

Step 2: Remove the Placeware Slide Uploader plug-in from your computer

For Microsoft Internet Explorer 4, 5, or 6

1. Start Microsoft Windows Explorer.
2. Expand the <drive>:\<windows folder>\Downloaded Program Files folder.
   
   In the folder, <drive> is the drive where Windows is installed and <windows folder> is the folder where Windows is installed on your system.
3. Right-click the PlaceWare Presentation-Upload Control folder, and then click Delete.
4. For Microsoft Windows 2000 and a later version operating system, no additional steps are required.
   
   If you are running Microsoft Windows 95 or Microsoft Windows 98, restart your computer to complete the removal process. If your operating system is Microsoft Windows NT, log off and then log on to complete the removal process.

For Netscape 4.7x

1. Start Netscape Communicator.
2. On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
3. Expand the Advanced folder, and then click Smart Update.
4. Click Placeware Slide Uploader, and then click Uninstall.

For Netscape 4.06 - 4.6x

1. Quit Netscape Communicator.
2. Delete the following folder:
   
   <drive>:\ProgramFiles\Netscape\Communicator\Program\Plugins\PlaceWare\SlideUpload
   
   Note This path may vary depending on your system setup and where Netscape Communicator is installed on your system.
3. Start Netscape Communicator.
4. On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
5. Expand the Advanced folder, and then click Smart Update.
6. Click Placeware Slide Uploader, and then click Uninstall.
