INTRODUCTION

This article describes how to access the audio in a Microsoft Office Live Meeting presentation.

MORE INFORMATION

You can access the audio in a Live Meeting presentation by using the Internet or by using a telephone. The meeting organizer decides whether to provide the audio by using the Internet, by using the telephone, or by providing both options. All the information that is required for the meeting is provided to you in an e-mail notification message. The e-mail notification message contains information about the Web site address, the user ID, and the password that you can use to connect to a Web conference. The audio information that is provided to you to access the audio is displayed in the Audience Console.

In Web conferences where the organizer provides the audio as a telephone service using a third-party call, you can use an additional voice phone line and a telephone to dial the third-party telephone number to access the audio as soon as you connect to the Web conference. The information about the telephone number is provided to you by the organizer in the e-mail notification message.

In Web conferences where the organizer provides the audio as streaming Internet audio for a Live Meeting presentation, you can install third-party plug-in programs in your browser to access the audio. The information about the third-party plug-in programs is provided to you by the organizer in the e-mail notification message.

To listen to the streaming audio, you may install one of the following third-party browser plug-in programs in your browser:
  • QuickTime Player
  • Macromedia Shockwave Player
  • RealPlayer Basic
