Therefore, you may not know that the document contains revisions.CAUSEThis problem may occur if the Save preview picture option is turned on in the properties of the Word 2002 document.RESOLUTIONHow to obtain the hotfixThis issue is fixed in the Word 2002 post-Service Pack 3 Hotfix Package that is dated June 25, 2004. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 843610 Description of the Word 2002 post-Service Pack 3 hotfix package: June 25, 2004 After you install this hotfix, follow the steps that are listed in the "More Information" section to set the ShowMarkupOpenSave registry key and to enable the hotfix for existing documents. Note The ShowMarkupOpenSave registry key is not needed for any new documents you create after you install this hotfix. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
