The presenter information or the image of the presenter may not appear for a PowerPoint 2003 presentation in Live Meeting (873120)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Office Live Meeting
- Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003
SYMPTOMSWhen you view a Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 presentation in Microsoft Office Live Meeting, the presenter information or the image of the presenter may not appear correctly. For example, some of the images in the presentation may not display the correct image of the presenter, or the presenter notes may not appear.CAUSEThis problem may occur if the incorrect information is selected for the PowerPoint 2003 presentation.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, add the correct information to the PlaceWare properties in the PowerPoint 2003 presentation. To do this, follow these steps. Note You must install the PlaceWare Add-in to PowerPoint 2003 to change the PlaceWare properties of a slide. - Start PowerPoint 2003.
- Create a new slide or open an existing slide in PowerPoint 2003.
- On the PlaceWare menu, click Edit Slide Properties, or click Properties on the PlaceWare toolbar.
- In the PlaceWare Properties for slide dialog box, configure the presentation. To do this, follow these steps:
- In the Slide Type area, click to select the type of slide that you want. Typically, you should select PowerPoint slide to show an image of the PowerPoint 2003 slide. If you select Yes/No Poll, Multiple Choice Poll, Editable Text, or Web Page, you must type information in the additional text boxes that appear.
- In the Presentation/Section Title area, type the title of the slide that you want to appear. You can set the title one time for the presentation, or use a different title on later slides to introduce each new section or subject in the presentation. If you leave this text box blank on the first slide, the file name of the PowerPoint 2003 presentation appears.
- In the Presenter Image GIF Filename area, click Browse to select a 60 x 60 pixel GIF image of the presenter, and then click Open. You must resize the image to the appropriate size by using an image editing program.
This image appears during the presentation in the Audience Console area. You can set the GIF file one time for a slide set, or you can associate different presenter GIF files with slides to be shown by different presenters. If you do not select a presenter image for a slide, and if an image was selected for a previous slide in the presentation, the image automatically uses the presenter image for the previous slide. If you plan to switch from one slide set to another slide set during a presentation, make sure that the presenter images are correct for each slide set.
Note When you upload the slide set to the Conference Center, make sure that the path of the GIF file matches the path that you specify in the Presenter Image GIF Filename area. - In the Presenter Name area, type the name of the presenter that matches the image that you selected in step c.
- In the Slide Name area, type the title of the slide.
This information appears to audience members in the Review Slides dialog box, and to presenters and moderators in their list of slides. If you leave the text box blank, the PowerPoint 2003 slide title is used.
- In the Presenter Notes area, type any text that you want to appear in the Presenter Console area.
- Click Apply. The changes for the current slide are saved and the dialog box remains open.
If you have another slide in the set, click the down arrow in the scroll bar to display the PlaceWare Properties for slide dialog box for the next slide, and then repeat steps a through g.
When you are finished adding the property information for all the slides, or if you want to create another new slide, click OK.
- Save the updated slide. To do this, click Save on the File menu.
