Project Center view takes longer than expected to display projects in Microsoft Project Web Access (872819)

SYMPTOMS Microsoft Project Web Access takes longer than expected to open the
Project Center view to display projects and project information that are stored
on a Microsoft Office Project Server 2003 database.CAUSEThis problem occurs because the Project Center view runs a
query on the contents of the Project Server database. If the Project Server
database contains many custom fields that are based on Enterprise Outline Codes (EOC),
and if there are several filters that are based on these custom fields, the query will take
longer than expected to run. This delay occurs because the query is not
optimized for situations where there is filtering that is based on EOC-based custom
fields and when there are many projects in the Project Server
database.RESOLUTIONHow to obtain the hotfixThis issue is fixed in the Project Server
