You receive an error message when you try to download a portable document format (.pdf) file from Live Meeting (871103)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to download a portable document format (.pdf) file from Microsoft Office Live Meeting, you may receive the following error message:
Internet Explorer cannot download filename.pdf from pdf.placeware.com.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if the Do not save encrypted pages to disk check box is selected in Microsoft Internet Explorer.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, follow these steps:
  1. Start Internet Explorer.
  2. Click Tools, click Internet Options, and then click the Advanced tab.
  3. Locate the Security section, click to clear the Do Not Save Encrypted File to Disk check box, and then click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
