You cannot manually create a partition that is larger than 99,999 MB when you install Windows 2000 (871043)

SYMPTOMSWhen you try to install Microsoft Windows 2000 on a computer that has a hard disk that is larger than 100 gigabytes (GB), the whole hard disk is automatically partitioned by the Setup program. In this scenario, you can install Windows to a partition that is the full size of the hard disk. However, if you want to manually create a smaller partition, you cannot create a partition that is larger than 99,999 megabytes (MB).CAUSE During the text mode part of the Windows 2000 Setup program, you can specify the size of the partition that you want to create. This issue occurs because you cannot type more than five digits to specify the partition size. WORKAROUNDTo work around this issue, install Windows to the partition that is the full size of the hard disk. The Setup program automatically creates this partition.
