You cannot enter a Live Meeting, and you receive an error message when you try to connect to a Live Meeting (871036)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to connect to a Microsoft Office Live Meeting, you cannot enter a Live Meeting, and you may receive the following error message:
Unable to initialize console.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if a software firewall program is blocking the installation of the Live Meeting client software.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, use both of the following methods:
  • Verify that you have a software firewall program installed and running.
  • Verify that Live Meeting is not blocked by your software program.
