A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next MOM 2000 service pack that contains this hotfix.

the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated
universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To

Installation information
You must apply this hotfix to each computer where one of the following conditions are true:
- The computer hosts a Microsoft Operations Manager Consolidator (CAM).
- The computer hosts a manually installed Microsoft Operations Manager agent.
To apply this hotfix, follow these steps:
- Copy the Q871012.exe file to a local folder or a to a network shared folder.
- Run Q871012.exe on each computer that contains a CAM or a manually installed Microsoft Operations Manager agent.
Note
When you install this hotfix on a Microsoft Operations Manager Consolidator (CAM) server, the installation program will start an agent update on all managed servers. The agent update process performs the following steps:
- At the next scheduled Managed Computer Scan, the list of agent computers that require an update appears in the Microsoft Operations Manager (Default)\Configuration\Pending Installation node in the MOM Administrator Console.
- On the MOM CAM computer, you must approve deployment of the updated agents. To do this, right-click a computer in the \Configuration\Pending Installation tree, and then click Approve All Pending Actions.
