SYMPTOMS

When you try to install McAfee Internet Security version 4.0 in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2), you may receive the following error message:
WebScanx.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Note If you restart your computer, the same error appears while Windows is starting.
