You receive a "STOP: 0x000000D5" error message when you close an IP Phone connection on a Windows XP Service Pack 2-based Toshiba computer or on a Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005-based Tablet PC (870896)

SYMPTOMSWhen you use an IP Phone program on a Toshiba computer that is running Microsoft Windows XP
Service Pack 2 (SP2) or on a Tablet PC that is running Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005, and then you try to close the
connection, the IP Phone may not hang up. Note The Windows XP SP2 features and components are included in Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005. If you repeatedly try to close the
connection, the computer may quit unexpectedly. You may also experience one or
more of the following symptoms:
- Your computer automatically restarts.
- After you log on, you receive the following:

How to configure recovery options in Windows
- The four parameters that are included in the error
signature information and inside the
parentheses of the technical information for the Stop error may vary, depending on the computer's configuration.
CAUSEThis problem may occur if the Ks.sys driver accesses memory
that the driver no longer owns. Typically, no error is reported. However, if
you run the Driver Verifier feature and verify all the drivers that are running
under Windows XP SP2, the Driver Verifier detects this problem and generates
the Stop error message that is described in the third bullet in the "Symptoms" section.STATUSMicrosoft
