A checked build version of Helpctr.exe is distributed to the Windows Feedback Panel participants. This version of Helpctr.exe tracks Help and Support Center usage. This version of Helpctr.exe stores the data that it collects in a temporary file that is named Helpsession_Debug.txt. Helpsession_Debug.txt is located in the Temporary folder.

To update your computer with the checked build version of Helpctr.exe, follow these steps:

1. Download the checked build version of Helpctr.exe from the following Microsoft Windows Update Web site:

   http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

2. Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.
3. On the Tools menu, click Windows Update.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen to update your computer.

The English version of this updated file has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
