SYMPTOMS
When your program calls Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) that is used with the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 on an impersonated thread, a new thread is spawned to create the
EventSource property. For example, the impersonated thread may be an Administrator. The new thread runs as an Administrator without an associated thread token. When the decoupled layer tries to obtain the thread token, the decoupled layer reverts to the process token. However, the decoupled layer may fail because of insufficient access to the spawned thread. You may receive the following error message:
Exception Type: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException
ErrorCode: -2147217405
Message: Exception from HRESULT: 0x80041003.
TargetSite: Void Start()
