SYMPTOMS

When a presenter uses Microsoft Windows Messenger to send an invitation to join a Microsoft Office Live Meeting, the following symptoms occur:
  • The attendee the does not receive the invitation.
  • The presenter may receive the following error message:
    The version of the Live Meeting Add-In for Messenger that you and your Messenger contact are using is out of date. Visit the http://www.livemeeting.com website to update the add-in and then try again.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because some earlier versions of the Microsoft Office Live Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Outlook and Windows Messenger are not compatible with some later versions of the Live Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Outlook and Windows Messenger.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, both the presenter and the attendee must upgrade to the latest version of the Live Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Outlook and Windows Messenger. The do this, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
