  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server

SYMPTOMS

On a Microsoft Windows 2000-based Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server, you set the SwitchedNetworkFlag registry entry to enable the switched networks function for a certain DHCP subnet. After you restart the DHCP Server service for the change to take effect, the switched networks function is enabled correctly. However, a red arrow appears next to the DHCP scope in the DHCP management console. This red arrow indicates that the scope is not enabled. After you disable and then re-enable the DHCP scope, the scope appears correctly. However, the switched networks function is not enabled.
