Works: Gaps Appear on Labels with Dot-Matrix Universal Driver (85308)
This article was previously published under Q85308
SUMMARY
Gaps or uneven label spacing may occur when you print labels from
Microsoft Works version 2.0 for Windows with the Windows version 3.1
universal printer driver, even if the top and bottom margins of the
Works label document are set to zero. If these margins are set to
zero, the internal settings of the printer may be causing the gaps or
uneven label spacing.
MORE INFORMATION
Many dot-matrix printers have page control settings in their ROMs for
skipping the perforations or feeding between pages of continuous
paper. Such settings should be disabled to give the universal printer
driver full control of the print job. Consult your printer manual for
instructions on how disable these features.
